Donate

There are many ways to donate

Books

Most of our funds are raised through the sale of donated books. When you clean out your bookshelves, consider donating your gently used books to the Friends of the Library for our Bookshop and Monthly book sales.

Drop off your books in the underground parking lot of the San Carlos Library. There you’ll see a cage with a drop off spot for the Friends, and pick up a donation receipt.

Money

Please consider making a donation to the Friends of the Library in the form of a direct cash donation. You can make a donation at anytime by leaving a check or cash at the Library Circulation Desk or mail to us. We appreciate gifts of any amount.

Talent

Nonprofit organizations run on volunteers, and we are always recruiting. Volunteers are needed in the following capacities: stocking the shop, sorting & shelving book donations, newsletter, web site, publicity, and other committees such as membership and hospitality; serving on our governing board.

Volunteers of all ages are welcome; volunteers can sign up for regular or occasional hours. Contact us to volunteer at 650.591.0341 or friendsofsclib@gmail.com.
